In light of the recent severe weather and the extensive cleanup efforts required to make our school grounds safe, all schools in the district will be closed tomorrow, February 24th.
We’re looking forward to welcoming parents and guardians of students in Grades 6–8 to our Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, held in person.
Conferences will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., break from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., and resume from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. to ensure as many families as possible have the opportunity to meet with teachers.
The Bookit scheduling link will be available on each school’s website and on teachers’ online classroom platforms. If you’re unable to attend your scheduled time, please contact your child’s school counselor or teacher to reschedule.

As we look ahead to Spring, we would like to share important information about the upcoming New York State assessments for students in Grades 6–8. Students will take exams in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics and/or NYSESLAT for students who speak another language. These assessments help measure student growth and provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their learning and progress. Our 8th graders will be taking the NYS Regents exams in Algebra and Biology. These are 2 of the 5 exams minimally needed to graduate high school.

All 6-8 exams will be computer-based and completed on district-issued devices in a familiar school setting. Digital testing is becoming more common nationwide. The 8th grade Regents exams will be paper based. These experiences help students build confidence for future assessments; including the PSAT, SAT and AP exams.
