Hello Lawrence Road Family,
This Thursday and Friday, we will not have classes at Lawrence Road in recognition of Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the beginning of the Jewish New Year. It's a time for reflection, prayer and asking for forgiveness. It is also a time to make a fresh start. Rosh Hashanah is celebrated with festive gatherings, sweet foods and the sounding of the shofar; a ram's horn. Rosh Hashanah connects children and families to their ancestors who celebrated the holiday centuries ago. Happy Rosh Hashanah to our staff, students and families of the Jewish faith. U-STRONG!

Great News! All Lawrence Road Middle School students have been issued ID cards for the 2023-24 School Year. They were implemented to identify our LR students, track attendance and tardies, lunch and more importantly, ensure that all scholars are accounted for and safe while in our building.
ID cards will be required for many events in the building, including entering the building in the morning. In the near future ID cards will also be required to attend dances, after school and sporting events. We are asking that all students wear their IDs around their necks and bring them to and from school everyday.
Students who forget or misplace their ID cards may be late for class. Kindly, urge your child to keep their ID cards on their person. The cost to replace an ID card is $5 and the lanyard is $3. All can be purchased during lunch periods in the main office.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Tella-Williams at 516-918-1500 or email @

Hello LR Families,
I want to to inform you that the Uniondale school district school initiated a lockout today. This included the Lawrence Road Middle School. A lockout is when no person can enter or leave the building; and access is limited. The school day ran as normal.
The lockout was lifted. Thank you.

Hello “Mighty” LR Family,
Tomorrow marks 23 years since the tragic events of 9/11, a day that profoundly impacted our nation. I will take a few moments during our first period class to pay remembrance to this occasion. We will play taps and I will reflect on the significance of 9/11, which will take about 5-7 minutes from our 1st period class. This is not meant to be a somber moment; but a moment of respect, remembrance, education and unity. It’s a time to share with our students the power of our nation to stand together through adversity. This is an attribute that can be reflected in our community. Remember, we are stronger together.
U-STRONG.🇺🇸
